This achievement was made possible entirely through the generosity of patriots, partners, and supporters who recognized the sacrifice of those who have served and chose to invest in a place dedicated to restoration, resilience, and hope.

Welcome to the Patriot Outpost!

This newly completed 9,000-square-foot lodge is designed to support year-round programming, provide enhanced accommodations, meeting areas, and gathering spaces for corporate retreats, leadership events, team-building experiences, and other mission-aligned gatherings.

Over the past eight years, DWS has hosted more than 1,000 veterans, active-duty service members, and families. This new retreat facility will continue to facilitate programs focused on healing, connection, and recovery.

Provide Healing Support

World class hunting and fishing experiences for our warriors. We believe nature heals.

All 9/11 generation combat veterans are eligible, though DWS' target population is the Special Operations community - the world’s most elite fighting force. This focus comes from the origins of our first 4 guests to make their annual journey to Arkansas in 2002.

Guest arrive to Arkansas to find all required gear waiting for them. Hats, gloves, neck gaiters, pants/waders, guns and required ammunition – all laid out in a cubby waiting to confirm sizes. Lodges include all modern amenities, and the cooking staff is ready to serve world class meals the entire weekend.

Guests are treated to a guided world class hunting or fishing experience on properties we own, properties made available for our exclusive use, or properties made available by some of the finest and most exclusive hunting/fishing clubs in the state.

The only expense for our guests is the cost of their hunting or fishing license. We are able to provide for our guests due to the generosity and patriotism of our community and a host of sponsors.
